Workgroups

Observa China 观中国 centre created in 2024, the year of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Brazil and China, the 45th anniversary of the relationship between Portugal and China, and the silver jubilee of Macau's retrocession to China. Its purpose is to advance debates about relations between China, Brazil, and Portuguese-speaking Countries, as well as to produce in-depth articles, high-level events, and differentiated analytical and propositional documents on the topic.

Observa China's 观中国 center for analysing relevant issues about China. This group periodically organises exclusive meetings for members.

Belt and Road Initiative Study Group, created in 2023, the year in which the BRI completed 10 years of existence, to formulate the second edition of the Observa China 观中国 Guide, entitled "The Belt and Road Initiative: An Analysis of the Chinese Strategy and its Relationship with Brazil", and its launch event.

This study group addresses issues of cultural belonging, nationality and the dynamics involved in the formation of a Chinese individual's identity.
